Is the compact applicator biodegradable or compostable?
The compact applicator is made from 95% bio-based plastic sourced from sugarcane and 5% virgin plastic so in this case it’s not. But, when it comes to period products, we always recommend popping used applicators in your general waste rather than home composting for health and safety reasons and please never flush. While we don’t recommend composting your tampons, we are doing our bit on waste disposal. For every applicator tampon sold (compact and cardboard), we remove the equivalent weight in ocean plastic via our partners Plastic Offset.
What makes the compact applicator the safest choice for your body?
How do I know which absorbency to use?
Always use the lowest absorbency for your flow on any given day. Light for the start or end of your cycle when flow is lighter, Regular for medium flow days, and Super for heavier days. Change every 4–6 hours and never leave a tampon in for more than 6 hours.
What’s Cottonlock™?
Cottonlock™ is our patented 360° safety veil a layer of organic cotton that wraps completely around the tampon core. It’s there to prevent any fibre residue from staying inside the vagina after removal. Most tampons don’t have this. We think that should change.
Do your products contain any pesticide residue like glyphosate?
No! A recent study by the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) and Pesticide Action Network UK found pesticide residues, including glyphosate, in some conventional tampon brands sold by UK retailers.

Why organic cotton and not rayon or bamboo?
Most mainstream period products are made with rayon, bamboo or conventional cotton. The catch? Conventional cotton farming relies on fossil-fuel-based fertilisers. Organic cotton skips them.
Is it suitable for first-time applicator users?
Absolutely. The ergonomic compact design with an improved rounded tip was specifically designed to make insertion smoother without any scratchiness.
