We can’t believe it, but we have launched exclusively with Tesco! They are the first UK supermarket to offer an organic and reusable period care range. We are so excited and honoured that they have chosen to stock our products for their customers.
Since launching, we’ve been on a mission to tackle taboos and challenge the industry. As a disruptive, ethical brand we’ve made great strides over recent years and we are thrilled by this exciting opportunity to take our message mainstream. In preparation for the launch, we did a total redesign of our packaging!
Ceitidh Taylor, Tesco femcare buyer tells us all about the decision to stock our organic and reusable range and their mission to tackle period plastic.
“We’re on the look-out for products and brands that our customers want and will get excited by. In feminine care there’s been little innovation of new and alternative brands. I came in as the femcare buyer for Tesco to shake things up.
I’m excited to bring TOTM to our Tesco customers. This organic and reusable feminine care range has launched in Tesco with grocer & high street exclusivity.”
Why organic cotton and reusables?
“Our customers are increasingly aware of what’s in the feminine care products currently available and customers have asked us to offer alternative products. Their main concerns are around health and the impact femcare products are having on the environment. We strive to offer customers the range that they want and also to help end period poverty. That’s why we were the first retailer to remove the ‘tampon tax’ by reducing the price of all feminine care products by 5%.
Now it’s time to bring new femcare options to customers. I’ve been working with TOTM to introduce this new range to Tesco. TOTM have exciting products and I think their strong marketing approach, ‘be kinder to your vagina’, is refreshing and empowering. They know that periods can be an emotive part of women’s lives. This innovative British range includes five TOTM products; an organic cotton pad, liners, 2 tampons in different absorbencies and a reusable menstrual cup. All of which are designed to be kind to the body AND the environment.”
Supporting Endometriosis UK
“TOTM are also highlighting the condition endometriosis, which is associated with particularly bad period pain. TOTM proudly support Endometriosis UK with each purchase. You can find more information on the giveback here. This will help raise awareness and improve the lives of the women living with this condition. For me, this made TOTM a perfect fit for Tesco.

- Making all packaging fully recyclable or compostable by 2025.
- Ensuring that all paper and board used will be 100% sustainable by 2025.
- Halving packaging weight by 2025 compared to 2007 levels.
