Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women in the UK yet it’s a condition that can take up to 7.5 years to diagnose. Like many reproductive health conditions, we need to raise awareness and make change happen to support those affected by the chronic condition. Here’s how you can get involved in March for endometriosis awareness month.
Officially endometriosis awareness week takes place the first week of March every year! But activities run throughout March. We’ve included a list of a few key events or fundraising opportunities below:
Endo the Night
Overdue a catch up with family or friends? Or simply want an excuse to throw a party? Well, this is the perfect opportunity! You can raise money for Endometriosis UK by organising a get together with your family and friends in March. It can be a dinner party, pamper night, book club, quiz night, movie night or whatever takes your fancy!
How to get involved:
Arrange your ‘Endo the Night’ for an evening in March. Invite your family and friends and ask them for a small donation to attend or collect donations throughout the night. The idea is that you not only raise funds but also raise awareness amongst event attendees. The Endo the Night by Endometriosis UK fundraising pack includes all you need to get started, find out more here.
Endo March
EndoMarch is a global movement. People all over the world will be taking to the streets armed with banners and posters, marching to raise awareness of Endometriosis. You can also participate in a virtual EndoMarch if you’re keen to get involved but cannot attend a march.
