We’re fighting period plastic and waste with our organic cotton and
reusable products, putting you and the planet first. It’s time to tackle
the staggering amount of plastic ending up in oceans and landfills.
We use certified organic cotton
Conventional period care products can contain up to 90% plastic in both the product and the packaging (Source:WEN). Alongside this, they use non-organic cotton and rayon, both of which are also damaging to the planet. We only use 100% certified organic cotton that’s sourced sustainably
Organic cotton = less irritation
Unlike conventional cotton, organic cotton is farmed without toxic pesticides. It has a soft, breathable texture making it ideal to use in period care. Our products use organic cotton from the absorbent cover to the topsheet or veil of our tampons, pads and liners. We also never use fragrance, dyes, chlorine bleach or artificial absorbents.
Reducing plastic waste
To further reduce plastic, we swap for cornstarch bio-film where required in our pads and liners which is certified compostable. Our tampons have 100% recyclable paper wrappers and come either with a biodegradable cardboard applicator or without an applicator at all. We offer both as we believe choice is important; it’s the reason why we have the largest 100% organic range in the UK
Supporting people & the planet
We’re here to normalise periods and make them better for people and the planet. We do what we can to make a difference. Alongside being made with 100% organic cotton, our full range is also carbon neutral and as a brand we support wider causes. In 2021, we’re proud to give back to Endometriosis UK and Binti International.
